Speculative fiction is a special type of genre that stands out in the literary landscape. It explores social, cultural, and political perspectives in imaginary worlds. Despite its ability to explore complex ideas, there are few literary magazines dedicated to emerging speculative fiction writers. That is why Lurkers of the Swamp, aka LOTS, was created.

LOTS is an independent speculative fiction literary magazine founded Central Florida. Its purpose is to showcase a wide range of unique stories and invent a community that fosters creativity. While this is inherently a Central Florida community, submissions are open to writers across Florida and beyond.

Every submission is read by the editor and considered for the next available issue. Questions are answered at lotsmag2@gmail.com. Response times are expected within 48 hours.
